Danshiki Crop - Striped

The Danshiki Crop is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Danshiki— a Nigerian workwear garment steeped in cultural significance within Black history. This modern iteration features a hand-embroidered checkerboard neckline that grounds the piece in a retro-athletic aesthetic. The loose, boxy silhouette echoes the regal drape of the traditional Agbada in cropped form. 

As an extension of our ongoing exploration of natural dye, we introduce a limited-edition yellow, botanically dyed with turmeric for Spring/Summer 2026 only. The Danshiki Crop features a yellow striped shibori print. Dyed by hand in yellow golden tones, each piece reflects the beauty of plant-based colour- warm, layered, and alive.

Hand wash in cold water using PH-neutral soap, dry away from direct sun, colours may soften or evolve over time.
