The African Bush Elephant is the largest land animal on the planet. They travel in herds of females and do everything together from feeding, protecting and birthing their calves to mourning and fighting predators. 

Growing up we remember vividly wooden carvings of elephant families on shelves in Nigerian homes. With our elephants we wanted to revisit that nostalgic moment and remind ourselves of the importance of family, community and the strong women that hold them together.
